The last decade and a half of my life
has been consumed with all things snow; no matter if I’m broke
in Chamonix or working to the wee hours of the morning in Whistler,
somehow I'm still checking the snow reports, waxing my board, and
fueling my snowmobile. After penning many interviews of snowboarders,
a million abstract pieces of random thoughts, tales, and laughter
will be stored in the back of my brain, never to be seen in print.
As for road-trips? I'll never forget laughing so hard it hurt outside
of grandma's house on the outskirts of South Lake Tahoe or what it
felt like to fly into the Queen Charlottes to watch a good friend,
ditch her snowboard for a day, and get down to some aboriginal beats
with her Haida relatives. That is what snowboarding is to me: a lifestyle.
I can't wait for the next adventure.
